About Us

Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1951 Tom emigrated with his family to Canada in 1988. After a few years as a service manager Tom entered the financial industry with a well known insurance company.

With now over 16 years in this industry, Tom has gained the experience required to assist his clients with good solid advice.

He became an independent advisor when, along with Gerry Connell, he helped create "CLAYMORE FINANCIAL GROUP." Tom understands the need for professional and easy to understand advice.

As an estate planner, he educates his clients and thrives on putting forward simple and lasting solutions for today’s problems.

Gerry began his career in the financial services field in 1988.

Following eight and a half years as an agent and sales manager with a major life insurance company, he co-founded Claymore Financial Group along with Mr. Tom Catto in the summer of 1996.

As an independent financial planner, Gerry is able to select from a very extensive network of insurance and investment providers in order to satisfy the needs of his clients Gerry earned the Certified Financial Planner designation in 1998 and successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course in 2001.

Gerry and his wife, Kim, have four children, one grandchild and have lived in Dundas since 1981.
